During his first year at Uni, Rob realized he was doing worse than other students in his class.
After asking around, Rob found he was one of the only students not using study drugs. At that point, Rob thought it is a good idea to try some study drugs too.
A good friend of Rob’s said, ‘just because he or she is using study drugs doesn’t mean you have to.’ Rob’s reply, I know, but I don’t want to fail!
The Two Most Popular Study Drugs
Modafinil and Adderall are the most popular study drugs available today. The argument about taking study drugs is widely debated.
Rob, I took Study Drugs while at university and even sold them to other students.
We asked Rob some questions about why so many students are using study drugs.
Rob, I tried all sorts of Modafinil, Waklert, Modvigil, Modalert, and I even tried Ritalin. I took them for motivation; you know, when I take these tablets, the work I can complete is incredible.
When I first started taking them, I focused on what I was doing; I didn’t eat or drink for hours.
And I had to make sure my focus wasn’t drawn away from what I really needed to do, which can happen when you’re new to Modafinil.
Rob’s advice, make sure you have an objective before you take any of the Modafinil’s. Or you might find yourself cleaning your room or doing tasks that have nothing to with studying!
So does taking Modafinil to give us an advantage over those that don’t?
Rob, in the end, I only used Modafinil when I needed to stay up late, to finish a paper or and an assignment.
Study Drugs Prescription Use. Study Drugs are prescribed to people with conditions such as ADD, ADHD, Narcolepsy and other issues surrounding sleep disorders.
Rob, normally a month or at least two weeks before exams, Modafinil use would spike. Students were coming to terms that they needed to catch up and pull all-nighters to prepare or risk the chance of failing.
Rob’s comments, It’s a dependency, not addiction. You get so used to studying with Modafinil that you feel you can’t study without it.
But that’s not true; there is nothing in Modafinil to make it addictive. It’s all in your head, just set out your study objectives and start.
After 30mins or so, you’re on your way.
Is Taking Modafinil Cheating?
Most people we asked said no! The main reason was why taking Modafinil was not cheating because it’s available to everyone.
But there were plenty of arguments put forward that it was cheating because it’s not fair on those who don’t want to or can’t take study drugs.
A lively conversation started when it was suggested that no one should be allowed to take them to level the playing field.
A loud voice said, Ok then, do we need to drug test every student to make sure they are not studying drugs? It was a very, very loud response, of no, no way.
Because you could never enforce that policy without infringes on students’ personal privacy was the overall consensus.
15% of all UK Students have tried study drugs, and that number is rising.
Rob, I would order 500 tablets at a time to take advantage of the lower prices. By accident, a friend saw how many I had and asked to buy some from me. And that’s how the selling started!
Modafinil Side Effects
Modafinil was deemed the first safe study drug, and when used properly, there are no known side effects. Unlike Adderall and Ritalin.
Common side effects of Adderall and Ritalin, restlessness, headaches, and not eating.
We contacted some former students and asked if they still used Modafinil. 70% said yes, but not as much as when they were at uni. Most suggested they took half to 1 quarter less.
