For my long time, you might remember this story posted here a while back.
The Story of Max
For the new reader, here is a quick catch-up. Max hated his job and was looking for an out.
After getting very drunk one night, Max woke up and realized he had spent $8000 on an online internet marketing course.
To make a long story short, he used modafinil to both complete the course and maintain a full-time job at the same time.
The result of completing the course was Max quitting his job and starting to work full-time online.
Now the update
For the past 3 years, Max has focused on SEO, making webpages better than anyone else so Google ranks them higher.
To make a living, your web pages must appear in the top 10 search results, but the real money starts within the top 3.
After success for a few years, Max’s websites were smashed by the Google algorithm updates.
This led to an 80% drop in revenue. After months of work, he was able to recover 30%. But overall, that was still a 50% drop.
Seeing the writing on the wall, reference to AI content writers. Max changed to advertising on Facebook with affiliate products.
This is where Max is now.
Living in Thailand and advertising on Facebook.
I asked him what life is like as a digital nomad.
Max: I’m not a nomad. I have a house in the northeast. The nomad life sounds great, but it gets old very quickly.
With SEO, the income is a little bit more consistent. And with a lot of work and the right niche, it can be very lucrative.
Now, advertising affiliate offers on Facebook is very difficult, not the actual advertising that part is easy with practice. Finding winning ads is the hard part.
But the payoff is massive. I have not reached this level. But I have seen my mentor’s Facebook account.
And the ad spend is 50k plus most days with a 15% plus return.
But not every day is a winner. I’ve seen a 5k lost in a day, and 1 to 2k happens 2 or 3 times per month.
So that’s what happened to Max. I will keep you updated on his progress.
And yes, he still uses Modafinil every day!
