4 Reasons why you might be feeling tired all the time
If you are feeling exhausted and out of energy, we might be able to help!
Try these simple hacks first, but please seek professional medical advice if your condition worsens.
The good news is that chronic fatigue is rare, and general tiredness can and is often fixed with some small lifestyle changes.
1. Quality Sleep.
The sleep bank, I’m generalizing here, but young people need roughly 10 hours and older humans about 8 hours of sleep per night.
Anything less and the withdrawal become larger than the deposit, resulting in fatigue, health, and energy problems.
Any improvement in the quality of sleep helps.
- Darken the room,
- Wear soft earplugs,
- Keep the room slightly cooler than normal,
- Avoid caffeine and sugar, and exercise close to bedtime.
2. How Do I Get More Energy?
I had this conversation with my mother a few years ago.
How do I get more energy?
Start exercising, I said.
But I’m too tired to exercise.
I know, but anything is better than nothing. Just walk away from the house until you have enough, then walk back.
I can do that, she said.
Two years later, my mother walks every day and has lost 12 kg. And she is not so tired anymore.
3. Take Modafinil.
Modafinil will increase your alertness and keep you awake.
First-timers normally report having the urge to do something, clean the house, and do the washing. Anything but sitting down. Sounds good to me!
Super happy I got Modafinil. It works great for the night shift.”

4. Check your diet.
Not getting enough nutrients daily can lead to fatigue.
Most multivitamins will cover your needs, but take a quick at the label to make sure they contain the following, as deficiencies in these vitamins have been directly linked to causing fatigue.
- Iron
- Riboflavin (vitamin B2)
- Niacin (vitamin B3)
- Pantothenic acid (vitamin B5)
- Pyridoxine (vitamin B6)
- Folate (vitamin B9)
- Vitamin B12
- Vitamin D
- Vitamin C
- Magnesium
The Doctor said.
What you have is temporary, and with regular exercise, a change in diet, and some good quality sleep. Your current fatigue will disappear.
And she was right!
She was right on every point; God bless her. Or maybe God bless her teachers!
In my doctor’s words, “Your blood test is better than usual, so relax!
“Modafinil works every time, and I take it whenever I have a busy day.”
