How to Spot a US Modafinil Vendor Scam
The modafinil vendor space has always had scam sites, a pattern that accelerated after Afinil Express and DuckDose closed between 2018 and 2019. New fraudulent sites appear regularly, often copying legitimate branding.
- Domain registered in the last 12 months with no verifiable ownership or address. Legitimate vendors have been operating for 3 to 10 years.
- No listed physical address or registered business entity. FreeModafinil has a verifiable US address. ModafinilUSA, which also had one, is no longer listed.
- Prices significantly below market ($0.30/pill or less). Pharma-grade generic modafinil has a floor cost -- deep undercutting signals counterfeit or non-delivery.
- Accepts only cryptocurrency with no card option. Legitimate vendors accept multiple payment methods.
- No third-party review presence (no Trustpilot, no Reviews.io profile). Fake sites avoid third-party review platforms they cannot control.
- Requests wire transfer or Western Union. No legitimate vendor uses these methods.
