EU Legal Status: What You Need to Know
Modafinil and armodafinil are prescription-only medicines across most of the EU. There is no single EU-wide rule.
Each member state regulates them under its own national medicines law. The exact status depends on your country.
What is consistent across most of the bloc: both compounds sit in the prescription-only tier. They are not in the controlled narcotics tier.
