Who I Am And Why This Name Is Confusing

I am Shane Hellmrich. I studied Health Promotion at Curtin University and I have tracked modafinil vendors since 2014.

I chose the name Buymoda.net as a backup. The plan was to catch traffic from Buymoda.org if they ever failed.

I learnt that the hard way with DuckDose, but that is another story.

The Buymoda Timeline

Let's start from the very beginning. Here is the history as I have documented it.

Jan 28, 2011

Buymoda.com first appeared. It sat as a parked domain for years. My research says it was later blacklisted and never used again. I could find no more detail than that.

Dec 23, 2018

I became an affiliate under the Buymoda.org domain. This is where my own story with the name begins.

Until Nov 28, 2021

Modafinil Mike operated Buymoda.org. This is an educated guess, so I could be wrong, but it looks like Buymoda.org was then sold to the ModafinilXL team.

Overnight after

My site Buymoda.net started growing fast. That was a double edged sword. The traffic was great, but the confusion became a headache, and still is.

The copycats

Other domain variations started showing up. Buymoda.co, Buymoda.online, Buymoda.store and more. This made the confusion far worse.

2023

The original Buymoda.org store closed. The store you may remember is gone. Buymoda.net is a separate, independent review site.

What Buymoda.net Is Today

I never planned for Buymoda.net to become what it is now. It was meant to be a backup and a side hustle.

After watching so many modafinil vendors open and close, I thought one site purely dedicated to reviewing them would help. Not just me, but a lot of other people too.

That has proven true.
